Great Location, many places were walkable. The hotel was very nice and the Staff was excellent! Always ready and willing to help. The room was small but very clean. We opted for a less expensive but very adequate. Beds comfy and pillows very soft. I contracted a digestive bug and didn’t realize how dehydrated I was. When I fainted and injured my head, the staff was very quick to respond! They explained that a private hospital was the only place we should go, called a cab and saw us to the car. The breakfast was very good and the staff were so great they offered to bring me breakfast in our room. Unfortunately I could not eat much. I would highly recommend this hotel for many reasons however, none as important as the entire staff and their willingness to help us always.

A really nice hotel. Great location - a short walk to the city centre and very close to the riverfront. The Cais da Sodre metro station is 2 minutes' walk away. We had a double room on the third floor, and it was very good; perfectly clean and well equipped. The bathroom was quirky, with what looked like carpet on the walls and floors (even in the shower area) but was actually a waterproof material. There was a (frosted) glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom! The buffet breakfast was good as there was a reasonably wide selection of items, although scrambled egg and baked beans were the only hot options. Hot drinks were from a machine but the coffee was excellent. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful gem of a hotel in a superb location very close to the amazing Time Out market. I booked a Superior room facing the water, armed with an array of earplugs based on previous reviews. Not necessary at all, even with the Carnation Revolution celebration, when the streets were thronged with people. The staff were excellent and helpful - I had arrived about an hour before check in, and the room was ready within five minutes. Adjacent sushi restaurant deserves more recognition as well - flawless service and presentation, and naturally, super-fresh fish. Rooms were relaxing and equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker and small mini bar. Bring conditioner - only shampoo and bath gel in the shower. Lovely towels, fluffy robes, excellent showers.

This review is proving to be challenging to write due to the exceptional service, and kindness provided by the hotel staff. However, our stay was unfortunately marred by a lack of sleep and excessive noise from outside. Room 101, located near bars and Pink Street, was particularly disruptive. Despite the staff's accommodating nature in allowing us to switch to room 401, the noise levels proved unbearable, even with the use of earplugs, (which are provided; red flag!). We were unable to rest throughout the night, causing significant discomfort. After voicing our concerns to reception, we were relocated again to a quieter room on the fifth floor, which provided a more pleasant experience. However, we were still woken up at 4 am due to loud music. It's unfortunate that the location of this hotel impacts my rating, as I would otherwise consider giving it a four-star rating. Regrettably, based on our experience, we do not intend to revisit this hotel in the future.

This was an all around good experience. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel had a location near the river which was nice and the neighborhoods that were nearby had good shopping and restaurants. The high light for us was the restaurant in the hotel. We tried the sushi restaurant and it was so good that we went twice.
